    Description

    I am offering a rare 1855 three cent silver piece for sale! Only 139,000 pieces were made that year, making this hard to find in any condition. The star is almost completely outlined three times, with nearly all of the lines in the shield completely separated. Most
    letters of "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" can be made out and the date is clear. This is a rare repunched date where doubling can be seen in both 5's! Most of the stars are visible on the reverse, the leaves and arrows and numeral III are also clear. This coin was holed at some point unfortunately.
